5 Obsolete Legal Technologies that Shouldn’t Be Obsolete

IBM Selectric II

selectric-2The Selectric II–and you probably have one hanging around the office right now tragically gathering dust—is a workhorse of legal technology. What’s best about it is that you don’t need to wait for anything to print! It prints automatically, as soon a you hit a key. No annoying reminders on your computer that the dot matrix printer five doors down the hall is out of paper or is offline or is being used to print the firm’s monthly invoices. Better yet, the Selectric II comes with a long list of optional font balls. Need italics? Switch out the font ball to italics. Need Presidential Pica or Sunshine Orator? Got it! Sure, the Wheelwriter doomed the future of the Selectric brand, but who even knows about or owns a Wheelwriter today? By the way, get the Selectric II Correcting. It’s a better machine than the Selectric III. Trust me. I have and use both.
