Berlusconi Prosecutor Survives Being Attacked With World's Slowest Bullets

Reuters reports that the prosecutor in the case against former Italian Prime Minster Silvio Berlusconi received a package in the mail containing two bullets. All reports state that the prosecutor survived the attempted “shooting”. Luckily, due to the lack of appropriate gun training in Italy, the attacker apparently didn’t realize that bullets work best if fired through a gun.

Berlusconi is on trial for allegedly paying an underage Moroccan nightclub dancer for sex. The Italian population has reacted strongly against this distasteful display of moral turpitude by the prosecution. The government’s pursuit of this case has so disgusted Italian citizens that threats to the prosecutor abound, including the most recent attempted assassination. This, of course, will weaken the argument made by the gun lobby that “guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” In the sage words of Eddie Izzard, clearly “the gun helps.
