Most Lawyers are Actor Wannabees

Most lawyers are actor wannabees. They wanted to be the celebrity walking the red carpet but quickly realized if they didn’t start their fallback career (law) they would be serving burgers at In-N-Out for the rest of their lives.

Once they make the jump to law school the excitement is the oral arguments! The wannabee actors are playing the role of a lawyer, arguing for a fake client, and using those improv skills they have spent thousands of dollars on.

On this Episode of The Best of Mr. Law School, watch Sam E. Goldberg in his Civil Pre-Trial Litigation course arguing to set aside a default judgment. (First 5 minutes is the argument and then the professor’s comments.)

I would LIKE to see the OTHER guy. Who is he? Why is this focused only on Mr. Law School? Fooey!

First of all, it’s spelled “counsel” numbnuts…secondly, you seriously think anyone wants to watch your law school fake arguments? Your ego is the size of your huge, misshapen head!

I think what you are doing is wonderful. You bring laughter and enjoyment to an otherwise torturous experience. However, I agree with Ellen in that you should have more law students shown in the programs. Keep up the great work!!! :)

This definitely makes the TOP 5 best of Mr. Law School videos for me! Nice job and glad you included the professor’s comments/critique. Oral arguments are not as easy as you make it look. Kuddos to you for putting yourself out there.

Maybe you should make a play for Mr. Law School? He is interested in women, as am I.
