It’s been a little quiet on the Justin Bieber front as of late. He’s just not providing the parade of crazy we’ve become accustomed to. Sure, he’s fed us a few crumbs here and there—his anticlimactic celebrity roast and a weeklong 21st birthday celebration. But what are we to do with no new arrests, paparazzi bust-ups, or salacious hookups? What gives?
We remember back when Justin was “acting out.” It was just last year. 2014 was one, long, monkey-confiscating, bucket-peeing, Selena-Gomez-break-up-then-make-up, sizzurp-drinking, street-racing free-for-all. And now, crickets.
Most of the shenanigans went down when JB was living in Calabasas, California—a normally quiet suburb just north of Los Angeles proper…until the Kardashian Klan moved in and weakened its immune system. When Justin took residence a few years later, he made sure the infection spread.
If you remember, one of his first run-ins on the way to rock bottom occurred when he egged his neighbor’s house in January 2014.
In the end, Justin got two years probation, was ordered to attend anger management classes, perform community service, and pay his former neighbors $80,900 in restitution.
For those neighbors, Jeff and Suzanne Schwartz, that just wasn’t enough. They are stilled peeved about the attack and Justin’s overall disgusting behavior and are seeking $25,000 for assault and battery, trespassing, and infliction of emotional distress.
According to the suit, “During his continued residence at the property … Mr. Bieber and his employees, agents, and acquaintances continued to harass, threaten, and intimidate plaintiffs and their family at every opportunity without justification, basis, reason, or excuse.”
During the time they were subject to living next door to the Biebs, the family says he spit at them, threw loud parties, constantly smoked marijuana, drove recklessly through the neighborhood, and his bodyguards even called them anti-Semitic slurs.
Best of luck to the Schwartz family on their lawsuit. And in the meantime, we hope they can enjoy this video.
