June is a great month as far as I’m concerned. The entire original cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is getting back together, and I’ll be there covering it, because it’s happening on my birthday and I pretty much demanded it. (Yours truly got somewhat verklempt talking to TV’s Frank at a convention a few years back, if that tells you anything.)
What’s even better is that you’ll be able to attend the reunion live from the comfort of your own local movie theater! The RiffTrax folks have built an impressive network that they use to livestream appearances and it’s being used for the reunion show. To celebrate this, RiffTrax is giving away 10 pairs of tickets, which you can sign up for here. So get to clickin’!
Other things I’ve been working on: my SXSW coverage, which I promise you’ll get to read sometime before next March; an update on that little Kesha thing I started a while back; and a whole grip of interviews with local activists here in Nashville as well as one with the Communications Director of a U.S. House campaign.
Summer’s here, and I’ve decided to celebrate with a playlist full of breezy numbers and also Mumford & Sons channeling their best Paul Simon impression. (I know, right?) Enjoy.
