The Fierce Battle Continues: Skirt Suit v. Pant Suit

  Kate Currer /   April 25, 2013 /   Columns, Lawyer /   7 Comments

The battle between skirt suit and pant suit is fierce, one that pits traditional values against comfort. Here is my personal list of pros and cons.

THE SKIRT SUIT

PROS:

More “feminine” and “traditional” look

It’s like getting to wear shorts to work

More jury appeal

CONS:

Need to shave legs

Need to wear nylons

Need to cross legs

Need to bend at the knees demurely to pick up a suit case, not because you will show anything but because whenever I wear skirts I feel more “demure”

THE PANT SUIT

PROS:

Makes me feel like a normal human

Pockets

CONS:

Being perceived as too “modern”
